PATRIOT ESSAY
Does patriotism affect our life today? Patriotism is a defense of one's country and does affect our life today. If we did not have patriots in life today it would be very hard for people to live. For example, when someone's house goes on fire a patriot is there to save them. A patriot is someone like a firefighter or a police who come to the rescue and are there to save your life. Patriots are always thinking of someone else and so today you should be thanking all patriots.
To begin with, you should not always be thinking of yourself and you need to help others and be thinking of others. These patriots that we have in our country risk their life for us. They will do anything to keep us alive and safe. They don’t just sit at home with their families and relax. They are always up and ready to go and save someone’s life. When Patriots do that they hope to be able to come back home and see their family and to be able to stay alive. Some very important times that we had Patriots come to the rescue immediately are like all the wars and Pearl Harbor.
Another is 9/11 which is very important. 9/11 which happened on September 11th, 2001 two of the planes was flown into the towns of the towers of the World Trade Center in New York City. Over 3,000 people were killed including more than 400 police officers and firefighters so that shows that police, firefighters, and others are always thinking of us before themselves.
Finally, as you can see this is very important to people who are always caring about themselves because after reading this you should have learned how important it is to people to have Patriots in our country so Patriotism does matter today.
